COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Father’s Day is this Sunday and we all want to get something for dad to let him know what he means to us.
WCBI’s Tom Eble looked into what the best selling items have been for Dads in our area.
The first stop was Reed’s in Jackson Square. Manager Lex Jackson gave me the inside scoop on what people are getting for dad.
“Father’s Day, Yeti has always been kinda king, in fact this year we have soft side yeti which we’ve had two sizes the 30 and the 20 and the good thing about it is Yeti kinda known for being the most durable and this is but its light, very light…/along with all the yeti accessories and cups and mugs and you know all the different things you get with Yeti.”
And for the father who is into fashion.
“The most popular brands we have in like sports shirts in cotton brothers, southern marsh, vineyard vines, and peter Millar…in the South, having a cotton shirt and linen shirt is just the way you need to go and we’ve got a huge selection throughout the store”
“One of the gifts we really feel like has been a great thing is sunglasses by RayBan, Costa Del Mar, and Oakley.”
But for those Dads who’d rather be outside than in a blazer, I visited Military Hardware off Military Road.
” Well I know for Father’s Day my dad he’d take any kind of tool so we got tape measures and all kinds of screwdrivers, and hammers and levels and stuff like that.”
“Another great Father’s Day gift is we got knives. Case knives are really popular, made in America, about as good as you can get for a knife and we got a ton of case knives and they’d make a great father’s day gift.”
