Tractor Accident Claims Life Of North Mississippi Man

NEW ALBANY (WCBI) – A Baldwyn man is dead after his tractor hit a concrete divider along Interstate 22 in New Albany.

New Albany Police say 67 year old Larry Pettigo was on a tractor pulling a bush hog on the Eastbound side of the roadway when the rear tires of the tractor hit the barrier.  Witnesses said it appeared Pettigo was trying to slow the tractor and move away from the divider when he hit it.   The impact threw Pettigo from the tractor onto the highway.  No other vehicles were involved in the  Thursday accident.
