Starkville City Planner Leaving

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Starkville says farewell to it’s long time city planner Ben Griffith.

Griffith announced Tuesday that he would be leaving his position as of Oct. 18.

He said he has accepted a planning position in a another city outside the state.

Griffith was a six-year tenure and helped over see the city’s establishment of the Starkville Historic Preservation Commission and various other projects.

The timetable for when the search for a replacement has not been set yet.
