Columbus Teens Arrested, Charged With Possession Of Stolen Firearm

COLUMBUS, Miss.(WCBI)—Two Columbus teens are arrested when police find them with a stolen gun.

Columbus Police arrested 19-year-old Jeffery Gordon and a 15-year-old juvenile Wednesday.

Police responded to a call of a large of a large fight with weapons involved at the East Columbus Gym on Lawrence street August 17th.

When officers arrived on scene, they stopped a vehicle that Gordon and the juvenile were in.

Inside the car, police found a Remington 700 Bolt action rifle that was reported stolen in a burglary by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office.

The weapon was recovered and both Gordon and the juvenile were charged with possession of a stolen firearm.

Gordon’s bond was set at 10-thousand dollars.

The juvenile’s identity is not being released.
