Video: Monroe County Hands Down Drug Indictments

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) -He says they are trying to clean up Monroe County.

Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says the Monroe County grand jury has returned indictments against 43 people for drug related charges.

These people have all been arrested in recent drug round-ups in Monroe County.

More than 12 indictments cover possession of meth. Other charges are possession of the pre-cursors needed to make meth.

But most of the charges – 26 indictments – are against individuals for the sale of drugs. These include meth, cocaine, pain pills, and marijuana.
