Video: Starkville Aldermen Clear Way for Economic Development Projects

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Two major economic development projects clear hurdles in Starkville.

The Board of Aldermen took up the Tax Increment Financing proposal for the Academy Sporting Goods project, and the city’s share of bond money for a proposed Industrial Park partnership with Oktibbeha County.

Both measures had been open for public comment. There were no challenges.

Both measures passed with minimal opposition.

The City also approved a revised plan that will bring Mississippi State’s Bulldog Bash back in to the Cotton District.
