Tupelo Hoping For Peaceful Day Of Demonstrations

TUPELO ( WCBI)  Tupelo officials are expecting the best but preparing for anything as two seperate demonstrations take place Saturday.  Mayor Jason Shelton says the city has taken all the steps it can to make sure both groups state their positions in a safe manner.  During a Saturday briefing he said multiple law enforcement groups are on standby in case something unexpected happens.  To view a replay of the briefing go to the WCBI News Facebook page.  WCBI will be showing portions of each gathering live on that page throughout the day
