Victims of Fatal Itawamba Car Crash Identified

ITAWAMBA COUNTY, Miss. -The Mississippi Highway Patrol continues to investigate a crash in Itawamba County that claimed the life of a husband and wife.
Troopers responded to I-22, near the Alabama state line, at approximately 9:15am. Upon arriving it appeared Jose L Cabral, 50, of Tupelo, were traveling east bound, when he apparently lost control of his 2014 Ford expedition causing it leave the road and collide into a tree.
Cabral and his wife Senovia Cabral, 50, both died from injuries sustained in the crash.
A 17 year old male, 8 year old male and 10 year old female all received moderate injuries and were transported to a local hospital.
It appears a faulty tire may have contributed to the crash.
