MSMS Student To Represent State In National Competition
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A Mississippi School for Math and Science student is on her way to a national competition.
Joy Carino earned first place in the statewide “Poetry Out Loud” competition.
The high school junior will participate in the national contest in Washington, D.C., next week.
This will be her second year in a row to represent Mississippi.
Carino and her competitors will recite chosen poems from memory and then give a brief presentation on their meaning.
The competition will be April 28th and 29th.
