Video: Summer Scholars Stage Original Play

MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY, Miss. (WCBI) –Mississippi State is raising the curtain on its annual Summer Scholars’ performance this weekend.

The theatrical camp is for gifted and talented students with a passion for theatre.

Middle and high school students write, produce, direct and perform their own original play.

This year’s performance has an interesting twist.

“It’s really a fun show. It’s called Prime Time Pilots.. It’s kind about like each act is a TV Pilot and the audience is the focus group and so its kind of fun and good times.”

Show times are Friday at 7 PM and Saturday at 1 PM at the McComas Hall Theatre on the MSU campus.
