VIDEO: Former Mississippi State Wide Receiver Killed
MERIDIAN, Miss. (WCBI) —
Former Mississippi State Bulldog wide receiver Chris Smith was shot and killed last night in his hometown of Meridian.
Smith was a standout receiver for the Bulldogs from 2009 to 2012.
In his career, Smith caught 109 passes for 1,180 yards and five touchdowns for the Bulldogs.
He was also a standout for Meridian High School and was a member of the 2008 state championship team that knocked off an incredible South Panola squad, ending their 89-game winning streak.
Smith was 26 years old and funeral arrangements have yet to be made.
