You Scream, I Scream, We All Scream For Free Ice Cream!

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) –

Mississippi State celebrates National Ice Cream Month by giving away free ice cream cones today.

It was the perfect treat for such a hot day.

Students and staff has a wide selection of flavors to choose from… and all ice cream offered was made from MSU’s very own dairy farm.

The MAFES store manager, Troy Weaver, says they just wanted a way to bring in students who might not otherwise visit their store.

“Different people may not have been in the store before so we’re trying to get them acclimated with our ice cream, get them to know a little bit about it and possibly our other products as well! We’ve been making ice cream for years and years so it’s kind of a really traditional treat here at Mississippi State.” said Weaver.

Students are now welcome to visit their newly renovated Custer Dairy Processing Plant from the second floor viewing.
