Columbus Woman Arrested for Threatening State Office
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) -A Columbus woman is behind bars facing felony charges, after threatening to blow up a State office.
On Thursday Columbus Police received a report of threats being made against the Department of Human Services..
A caller reportedly threatened to harm a DHS employee, and said the she would “Blow the building up”.
The caller was identified as Roschell Cotton, a Columbus resident who has a case pending with the Department
.
Cotton was arrested at her home in East Columbus.
She is charged with Simple Assault against an employee of the Department of Human Services, and Making a false Bomb Threat.
Cotton is in the Lowndes County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
