Vardaman Firefighter’s Home Damaged By Fire

VARDAMAN, Miss. (WCBI) – A Vardaman firefighter finishes a night shift this morning and arrives home to find it on fire.

Police Chief Kenny Scott tells WCBI his son, Kenneth, lost everything inside his North Main Street home during the Monday morning fire.

Scott says the flames started in the bedroom and quickly spread to the living room. No one was home at the time.

The family, which includes three children, does have a place to stay and people are donating items.

It’s unclear how the fire started.
