Video: 16 Injured in Pickens County School Bus Accident

Pickens Co, Al. (WCBI) – There are no fatalities in the school bus accident that shut down County Roads 30 and 35 Friday afternoon in Pickens County, Alabama.
First responders from Alabama and Mississippi frantically worked the scene of the accident following the first call around 4 p.m.
All 14 students, along with the bus driver and the driver of a SUV have been transported to hospitals in Alabama and Mississippi, including Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle, UAB Children’s Center and DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
Witnesses say a student actually placed the 9-1-1 call.
Families and friends waited anxiously along Highway 82 for word of their children. Around 6 p.m., family members, along with members of the media were briefed by Alabama Highway Trooper Reginald King at a church in Mineral Springs.
Investigators are still on the scene of the accident. No cause has been released.
