VIDEO: First Football “Dandy Dozen” Selected

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — The Clarion-Ledger’s Dandy Dozen selection has begun, and Grenada Safety C.J. Avery is the first to be chosen to the list.

Avery has received Division One offers from Ole Miss and Mississippi State, among others.

Avery joins area talents like Starkville’s AJ Brown and Noxubee County’s Jeffrey Simmons who’ve been named as a “Dandy Dozen”.

Avery is the first to be chosen for the 2016 high school football season, and only time will tell if any local players in North Mississippi will be selected.
