MFJ Celebrates 40 Years
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) -Hundreds of people came out Saturday to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the MFJ Group, one of the leading amateur radio part and equipment manufacturers.
The two day celebration was held at Mckee Park in Starkville and included free guided factory tours, tailgating and prizes.
Some broadcasted from the park, while others drove the distance to get their hands on some of the specialized equipment.
“One of the great things is that MFJ is the worlds largest manufacturer hand radio equipment and they were doing a 15% off and no shipping because I’m here. I saved a lot of money buying some stuff and getting the tours of the factories,” said amateur radio operator Sam Carpenter.
Those that didn’t have amateur radio licenses were able to take an FCC license exam at the event.
