Tishomingo Co. Sheriff’s Office Busts Several With Drugs
TISHOMINGO CO., Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – On June 27, 2016 Tishomingo Sheriff’s Deputies responded to disturbance that was occurring at a residence just north of Tishomingo on HWY 25.
While at the residence, one of the occupants became belligerent and

causing a disturbance in front of the deputy. At this time Tishomingo Constable, Donald Thomas assisted Tishomingo Sheriff Deputy, Shane Wood, in arresting the occupant, Austin Pryce-Jones.
During the course of a “pat-down” for weapons, some alleged methamphetamine, along with some paraphernalia was found on Pryce-Jones. He was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail and in the process, damaged one of the patrol units.
Pryce-Jones, 18-year-old, white male of 1580 HWY 25 Tishomingo, Mississippi was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, and resisting arrest.
His bond was set at $25,000 dollars.
On June 27 and 28, 2016, Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department stopped a vehicle pertaining to an ongoing drug investigation.
During the course of the traffic stop, the driver attempted to hide his

alleged methamphetamine from the officers.
The alleged narcotic was recovered and the driver was transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
The driver, 42-year-old Christopher Wilcox of 12 Whitfield Drive Iuka, Mississippi was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
Wilcox is currently on probation with the MDOC and a hold has been placed on him by MDOC.
He remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail.
The Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department also arrested

COURTNEY BARRETT
34-year-old
Courtney Barrett of Iuka in a separate drug arrest.
Barrett was charged with sale of a controlled substance.
She remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set.
An ongoing drug investigation led to the arrest of 53-year-old Kenneth Moore of Iuka.
Moore was arrested due to a traffic stop and during the traffic stop,

deputies found alleged narcotics.
He was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
Moore was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, and he remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set.
