Video: Volunteers Prepare For “Father-Daughter Ball” Benefitting LeBonheur

TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – Volunteers have been busy turning the Bancorpsouth Arena into an elegant ballroom.

The 14th annual “Father Daughter Gumtree Ball” takes place Saturday night.

There will be a DJ, silent auction, food a fun photo booth , and of course a dance party.
All proceeds benefit LeBonheur Children’s Hospital and it takes a lot of work from many volunteers.

“It’s so amazing when you see 12 hundred dads and daughters, grandfathers and daughters or neighbors and little girls together, it’s just something you really have to see to understand, but it’s a great feeling to see all of them having a great time and knowing it’s going to help the kids at LeBonheur,” said Kelly Scott, who is special events coordinator for LeBonheur.
In the past, the event has raised 60 thousand dollars for LeBonheur.
