Oktibbeha County Home Destroyed By Fire

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – An Oktibbeha County went up in flames on Thursday morning.

Now, investigators are trying to figure out how it started.

Firefighters were called to the New Light Road home just before 10 AM.

Oktibbeha County Fire Coordinator Kirk Rosenhan says the fire started in the kitchen.

Rosenhan says the fire spread through the attic because of the metal roof.

No injuries were reported.

Central Oktibbeha volunteers were assisted by Adaton-Self Creek firefighters to put out the flames.
