Video: Teachers Getting Tips on Teaching Fiscal Fitness
TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Teachers from across our region and the state are spending a couple of days learning how to better educate young people about finances
The Mississippi Council on Economic Education held a symposium in Tupelo.
During the seminars, workshops and other activities, educators got tips on how to teach students at all grade levels about money management.
“The takeaway is, it’s fun and easy to teach financial literacy in the classroom. And important, it’s important as well. But the tools we’re providing the teachers over these two days will make it extremely easy for them to go back into the classroom and teach financial literacy regardless of whether they teach math, english, business.”
This marks the first symposium of its kind for MCEE. It is part of an initiative called “Financial Fitness For Life.”
