Video: Fire Destroys Lowndes County Home

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Lowndes County investigators are trying to determine what sparked a house fire and when.

Deputies were called to the 1,300 block of Henry Wells Road just before 8 AM on Thursday.

Someone reported a house that burned to the ground.

The sheriff’s department tells WCBI the house was a rental property and was empty at the time of the fire.

It’s unclear when the blaze started.

Detectives are still trying to figure what may have started the fire.
