STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A man will spend ten years in prison for shooting another man on a four-wheeler.

Wayne Monts, 35, was sentenced in Oktibbeha County Circuit Court this week.

Circuit Clerk Glenn Hamilton says Monts was also ordered to complete 40 hours of community service.

Monts shot Tiberias Lampkin in July 2014.

Lampkin told WCBI he was chased from Sturgis to Maben on a four-wheeler.

Monts was apparently in the truck that chased Lampkin.
