Columbus councilmen to select a contractor to repair Fire Station 5

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Columbus councilmen are expected to select a contractor to make repairs to Fire Station 5.

A truck crashed into the Lehmberg Road building last month.

The driver told police she fell asleep before running off the road.

Amazingly, no one was injured in the accident.

Engineers determined the building can be repaired.

Work is scheduled to begin next week.

A decision about the contractor is expected to be made at tonight’s city council meeting.
