State Trooper Involved in Wreck

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) –Tupelo police are investigating a wreck involving a state trooper.

Police tell WCBI it happened on Highway 45 between the Eason Boulevard and Green Street exits.

They say a driver hit a state trooper’s SUV, which was parked on the side of the road.

The driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The state trooper was treated on-scene.

His K-9 partner, Smoke,  was taken to the vet with non-life threatening injuries.

No citations were issued at the scene.
