Video: Preliminary Figures Look Good for Market Street 2016
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) -Another Market Street Festival is in the books and organizers are still trying to figure out how many people attended this year.
The two-day event brought in vendors and visitors from across the region.
The Friday night parade and concert brought a large crowd to the Riverwalk.
Then on Saturday, thousands packed downtown Columbus for shopping, games, children’s activities and food.
“It is estimated between 35 and 40,000 and we hope the figures are up this year. We normally determine that figure by our sales. Drink sales, the sales that the vendors turned in for us.”
Festival organizers say they should get firm numbers from vendors later this week.
