Video: Paving to get Underway in Weest Point

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) -The ride through West Point is about to get a little smoother, but expect a few bumps in the road in the short term.

The Mississippi Department of Transportation is set to begin work Monday night on repaving Highway 45 Alternate in the city.

The first order of business is to repair storm drains in the southbound lane, and a few other smaller projects, before M-DOT starts to work on the overlay.

Most of the work will be done at night to minimize traffic delays and lane closures along the busy stretch of road.
