Oxford Man Charged In Pair Of Unusual Crimes

OXFORD, MS (WCBI) – An Oxford man is jailed after a pair of different but equally bizarre crimes.

The first case unfolded April first when an unknown man followed an Oxford woman to her home and forced his way inside.  Once he finally left, he stile the woman’s cell phone and then called his own phone.  That provided police a link to the identity of a man know known as 34 year old Marcus Hilliard of Oxford.

Hilliard’s second offense came April 23rd when a North 14th street resident left her door unlocked for her boyfriend to get in when he got off work.  During the night, the victim said a man climbed in her bed and began kissing her. When she woke up she realized it was not her boyfriend but a stranger.

She identified the car leaving and police showed her a picture and she was able to identify Hilliard.  He is being charged with  two counts of residential burglary
