Video: Starkville Fire Chief Set To Retire

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Starkville Fire Chief Rodger Mann told city aldermen he will retire February 22nd.

The announcement came at Tuesday night’s regular board meeting.

Mann was appointed interim chief in April 2007 and took over the position permanently in August 2008.

Mann joined the Starkville fire department as a volunteer in 1980 and was hired as a full-time firefighter in 1982.

During his time with the department, Mann has been the fire inspector and lead the fire investigation team.
