TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — Last minute preparations are underway for the biannual Tupelo Furniture Market.
Exhibitors are starting to set up their spaces in advance of the 56th furniture market. Furniture industry professionals will visit the four day market, placing orders for the next six months.
Vendors will offer all types and price points of furniture, such as bedding, outdoor furniture, upholstery and other segments.
More than 30 new companies are registered for the upcoming market.
“Generally speaking, we know that the industry is doing better,” Tupelo Furniture Market President Kevin Seddon said. “The economy has gotten better, the word of mouth, within the industry is that things are better so I think it’s going to be a good event.”
A Chinese delegation will also be at the market.
That trip was arranged through the Franklin Furniture Institute at Mississippi State University.
They are looking for new brands and products for the Chinese market.
