Carrollton Native Honored By MS House Of Representatives
JACKSON, Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – Yesterday, the Mississippi

ERICKA WHEELER
House of Representatives honored and recognized Ericka Wheeler for being the first African American woman to be named a Rhodes Scholar.
House members honored her with House Concurrent Resolution 122.
Wheeler attended school in the Greenwood Public School System before moving on to the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science in Columbus.
Wheeler currently attends Millsaps College in Jackson.
Upon graduation in May, Wheeler will continue her post-graduate studies at The University of Oxford in England.
