Video: Oxford High School Senior is North Mississippi Boys and Girls Clubs Youth of the Year

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – An Oxford High School senior has been named “Youth of the Year” for Boys and Girls Clubs of North Mississippi.

This evening, 17 year old Zach Wadley beat out four other competitors for the honor. Each club in North Mississippi chose a contestant.

Youngsters had to answer questions from a panel of community leaders, and they had to demonstrate the values of leadership and service and academic excellence.

Wadley has attended the Boys and Girls Club in Oxford for ten years.

“It has been a really , really fun experience, kind of sad that I’m having to leave it now, but I will come back and help out, it’s been a fun time, it’s really helped me grow up, really helped me grow.”

Wadley will represent the organization during the state meeting in Jackson next month.
