UPDATE – Officials Identify Agent Killed In Accidental Shooting
ROBINSONVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — A veteran Mississippi Gaming Commission agent is dead after an accidental shooting at the agency’s Tunica office. 45 year old John Gorman of Madison died when another officers gun fired during a training exercise striking Gorman in the chest.
Gorman had been the director of the Gaming Commission’s Vicksburg office until Tuesday when he was named Director of Investigations for the commission. Gorman leaves behind a wife and two small daughters. This is the first time a Gaming Commission officer has died in the 22 year history of the casino regulation enforcement group.
