Video: Baldwyn Church Collects Donations for Fire Victims

BALDWYN, Miss. (WCBI) — Some church members in Baldwyn are extending a helping hand to a local family who lost their home to a fire.

The Mount Nebo CME Church collected donations that included food, clothing, monetary gifts and toys. A Baldwyn apartment complex caught fire last week leaving the family without their belongings. Members say the devastating fire gives them an opportunity to help a family in need.

“We are so great to be able to give back to the community. we know the community has to come together to help because that is what we’re suppose to do. there has been so many donations so far and there has been such an out pouring of love from the community that we over run with donations, but we can always take more,” says Roslynn Clark, who serves with the Nurses Ministry.
