Video: Houston High School Promotes Ty Hardin To Head Football Coach

HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI Sports) – Houston High School has hired a new head football coach.

The school announced Tuesday that Ty Hardin is Billy Cook’s successor. Cook will be the new assistant principal.

Hardin has been the defensive coordinator for the Hilltoppers the past two seasons. He’s a Houston graduate, playing on the football team in the mid-2000s.

Cook left after four years at the helm. He amassed a 26-26 record that included nine-win and eleven-win seasons. Houston went 9-5 in 2015, reaching the second round of the 4A playoffs.
