Video: Parkgate Pregnancy Clinic Announces Speaker for Annual Fundraiser

TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – A Northeast Mississippi pregnancy clinic is preparing for an annual fundraising event that will feature a possible presidential contender.

Tupelo’s Parkgate Pregnancy Clinic is hosting an evening with Dr. Ben Carson. The event on February 17th at The Orchard Church, is the main fundraiser for the non profit.

Each year, Parkgate Pregnancy Clinic brings in a well known speaker, but this year, organizers say demand for tickets is high, because of Dr. Carson’s popularity as an author, speaker and a possible presidential candidate for 2016.

“Dr. Carson is such an unique person to come and talk about the sanctity of human life, because one would have looked at his life, at an early age, and thought that he might not have a lot of opportunities for success, he was raised in the inner city to a single mom and had difficulty learning and got some opportunities to better his life and took advantage of those,” said Jima Alexander, executive director of Parkgate Pregnancy Clinic.
