FULTON, MISS. (WCBI) -Fourteen contestants took part in the annual “Indian Idol” competition. That event pits ICC students in Fulton against each other, as they perform, and are critiqued by a panel of judges.
Thursday night, participants had to choose a song released between 1995 and 2005.
“You kind of have secret talent here and we help expose different types of artists and help them to really step out of their comfort zone and express themselves through song, it really brings out the true talent we have here at ICC,” said Leighton “Chauncey” Mullins, a student organizer of the event.
WCBI’s Allie Martin was one of the judges. He will also judge next week’s Indian Idol, when ten contestants will perform Elvis or Motown songs.
