Power Returning to Customers in Damage Area

[syndicaster id=’6298672′]LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI-TV) At the height of the severe weather, more than three thousand customers were without electricity.

Now, that number is closer to 50 customers.

Crews will continue to restore power and repair downed power lines.

Four County’s Jon Turner says their goal is to get the lights back on for residents.
” We worked late last night, got up early, got back out there today because that’s what we do. We don’t want anybody without power if they don’t have to be.”

Turner also reminds residents to stay away from downed power lines.

Around 20 to 25 power poles were down.
