MHP Reports 47 DUI Arrests Across Miss.

MISSISSIPPI (WCBI) — The Mississippi Highway Patrol reported no fatalities during New Year’s Eve.

MHP authorities issued 1,129 traffic citations across the state during an enforcement period which began 6 a.m. Wednesday and ended midnight.

Among those citations, 47 individuals were arrested on DUI charges. Troop G accounted for the most DUI arrests with 12 total.

Troopers say they are investigating 33 nonfatal collisions, two of which are being handled by Troop G.
