ICC’s Brown Named MACJC Softball Player of the Week
FULTON, Miss. (WCBI/LetsGoICC.com) – Freshman second baseman and catcher Alex Brown was named Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Tuesday.
The Pontotoc native batted .571 (8-for-14) on the week with nine RBIs, nine runs scored, one double, one triple and one home run in four game last week.
In the road sweep of Coahoma, Brown went 2-for-3 in G1 with four RBI and two runs scored and 3-for-5 with four RBI, three runs scored, a double and a triple in the final game of the doubleheader. Against No. 3 East Central, she was 3-for-4 with one RBI, a home run and three runs scored in the 8-6 win in the first of two games.
The No. 8 Indians (28-5, 13-3 MACJC) will host Mississippi Delta Community College this evening for their annual Breast Cancer Awareness Series starting at 4:00 p.m. at the ICC Softball Complex. The games can be seen on LetsGoICCTV.com.
