Dr. Forrest Sheffield Announces His Retirement As Harrisburg Baptist Pastor
TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — The pastor of the largest Southern Baptist Church in our viewing area announces his retirement.
Doctor Forrest Sheffield was called to pastor Harrisburg Baptist Church in July of 1994. During his two decades at the Tupelo church, he oversaw the relocation of the church from its original West Main Street facility to its current campus on Cliff Gookin Boulevard.
Doctor Sheffield is known for his emphasis on personal evangelism, he has served on the Executive Board of the Mississippi Baptist State Convention Board and on the Board of Trustees of the GuideStone Resources of the Mississippi Baptist Convention.
Pastor Sheffield made the announcement during services this morning saying he will retire in June.
