Video: Volunteers Shop and Wrap for Happy Fund

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – It will be a happy Christmas for hundreds of children in Columbus and Lowndes County.

Volunteers with the Happy Fund went on their annual shopping trip to buy gifts  Thursday morning. They then went to the Columbus Air Force Base to wrap the clothing, school supplies, and other necessities for underprivileged children in the Columbus area.

The Happy Fund was established by the late George “Happy” Irby, a longtime staff member at the Columbus club on base.

The fund is supported by donations.
