UPDATE: Lowndes Co. Boy Injured in Motorcycle Crash Dies

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. – (WCBI) 12 year-old Kobe Bryant Strickland passed away Tuesday night at UMC Medical Center in Jackson, confirms Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant.

He’s the Lowndes County boy critically injured in a motorcycle wreck this past weekend that killed his father.

Funeral services for 41 year-old John Bryant will be Wednesday at Lowndes Funeral Home.

The funeral home is also taking care of the arrangements for Kobe.

Police say Bryant swerved to miss a car that attempted to turn in front of him.

Strickland was a passenger on the motorcycle.
