Miss. Speaker Pro Tem Joins Balanced Budget Commission
JACKSON, Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – We have some exciting news from the Mississippi House of Representatives Speaker Pro Tem Greg Snowden.
He will be serving as an Administrator of the Compact for a Balanced Budget Commission.
The commission is the first interstate agency ever formed to coordinate a state-based push for a federal Balanced Budget Amendment which should encourage the States to lead on correcting the national debt.
During last year’s 2015 session, the Mississippi Legislature passed SB2389 which the Governor signed.
This law sets the stage for Mississippi by adopting and ratifying the Compact for a Balanced Budget Amendment.
The Mississippi Tea Party congratulates Representative Snowden for accepting this position to help bring some sanity to our Constitutional Republic and its process.
We all know about how Washington has lost its way and its Constitutional authority to function inside the bounds of the Constitutional limitations.
So we at the Mississippi Tea Party congratulate Snowden and thank him for taking part in this most pressing National issue — to balance the Federal Budget!
Words of thanks and congratulations may be sent to President Pro Tem Snowden:
