New Charges And Bond Set For Derma Man Arrested For Child Sex Crimes

Derma, Mississippi (WCBI) – A Calhoun County man faces new child sex crimes charges, according to Calhoun County Sheriff Greg Pollan.

Aaron Lee Patane, 36, now faces four counts of sexual battery of a child and one count of production of child pornography.

Those charges are in addition to two counts of touching a child for lustful purposes and two counts of possession of child pornography.

Pollan says computers, a cell phone, and other electronic equipment were seized Tuesday at Patane’ home in Derma.

Deputies began an investigation after receiving a report from the Department of Human Services.

The child was then given a forensic interview and a search warrant was given to search Patane’s home.

Pollan says the electronic equipment will be sent to Jackson to determine if additional charges will need to be filed.

Patane’s bond is set at $1 million.
