Video: Columbus Group Hosts Community Thanksgiving Meal

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A Columbus organization that mentors young people and provides GED training for adults served up a hot meal to the community Wednesday.

Jewels and Gems Family Empowerment Ministry hosted a pre-Thanksgiving dinner at Shiloh Baptist Church.

Members served turkey, dressing, and all the trimmings for anyone who stopped by the church.

They say the special meal is their way of strengthening bonds in the community.

“Jewels and Gems” plans to make their community Thanksgiving dinner an annual event.
