Video: Artesia Man Continues To Recover After Crash

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lowndes County man continues to recover in a Jackson hospital after a crash on Highway 45 Alternate.

The University of Mississippi Medical Center says William Tatum, 20, is in serious condition.

He was driving a car that state troopers say was attempting to turn South on Highway 45 Alternate when an 18-wheeler collided with his vehicle early Tuesday morning.

Michael Aston, 56, of Pontotoc was driving the 18-wheeler. He had minor injuries.

Tatum was airlifted to a Tupelo hospital and then transferred to Jackson.

The accident remains under investigation.
