Columbus Run-Off Proves Every Vote Counts

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – It may sound cliche, but every vote does matter.  At least that’s the case with the Special Election for the Columbus Ward 5  City Council seat. With all three boxes in and counted Stephen Jones edged out Marthalie Porter Tuesday night 442 to 441.

In a bit of an anomaly for a two person run-off there were 3 ballots counted as either write-ins or blank.

Any Affidavit or Absentee ballots will be counted Wednesday Morning. The election will have to be certified after that.
