Video: Itawamba County Students ‘Pack the Bus’ to Restock Food Pantries

MANTACHIE and FULTON, Miss. (WCBI) — Friday morning, Itawamba County School District students unloaded the food donations they’ve collected the past few weeks for the annual “Pack The Bus Food Drive.” The kids accepted more than 50-thousand pounds of canned goods and non perishable items.

Each school packs school buses full of food, then it’s delivered to food banks in Fulton and Mantachie. Tremont and Itawamba Attendance Center won awards for their student’s collections.

On Saturday, Volunteers will help hand out more than seven hundred boxes at the Fulton Food Pantry.
