Differences In Political Parties Spotlighted At Forum

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — Three Tupelo High School seniors brought together local Republican and Democrat leaders for a forum on public service.

The forum is part of the seniors’ required project for their English class.Three leaders from the Democratic Party and three Republican officials were part of the panel.

Audience members were able to ask questions about the differences between Republicans and Democrats and panel representatives talked about the importance of public service.

“The goal of this project, at its core is to cut out the confusion from the candidates and the office holders themselves, get a pretty clear idea of what Republicans and Democrats believe,” said THS Senior Noel Morgan.

The Seniors will present their projects next month at the BancorpSouth Arena.
